The Ravens placed running back Justice Hill on injured reserve Thursday, sidelining him for at least four games because of a neck injury.

The cause and severity of Hill’s neck injury are unclear. He was in the locker room after Monday’s practice and appeared to be fine, but he missed Tuesday’s practice and Wednesday’s walk-through.

“He had a neck thing that was kind of bothering him,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said after a 32-14 loss to the Bengals. “All of the sudden it caused some issues and they went and looked at it and he’s got a disc issue. It’s gonna keep him out for a few weeks.”

The earliest he could return is Week 17 against the Packers.

With Hill (262 total yards and three touchdowns in 2025) sidelined, the Ravens’ backfield leaned more on Keaton Mitchell (2 carries for 19 yards and TD) and Rasheen Ali (4 carries for 17 yards).

The Ravens promoted defensive lineman Carl Lawson and inside linebacker Chandler Martin from the practice squad for Thursday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Lawson, whom the Bengals drafted in 2017, signed with the Ravens’ practice squad Oct. 23 but was not elevated for a game over his first month in Baltimore. He made one tackle.

Martin, an undrafted rookie, made five special teams tackles in two games this season but suffered what Harbaugh described as a “serious knee injury” in his final practice squad elevation.

Rookie defensive lineman Aeneas “Fub” Peebles was activated for a game for the first time since Week 5.

Meanwhile, outside linebacker David Ojabo was made inactive for the first time since Week 2.

The Ravens also made wide receiver Tylan Wallace, who is a depth player on offense and a special teams contributor, inactive in favor of second-year wide receiver Devontez Walker. Wallace had been active for every game the last two seasons.

Guard Ben Cleveland and rookie tackle Carson Vinson were also inactive, while Cooper Rush was inactive as the third quarterback.

Defensive lineman Taven Bryan, who suffered a minor knee injury in Sunday’s win over the New York Jets, also was placed on IR.

Bryan has one tackle, half a sack and four quarterback pressures, according to Pro Football Focus, in five games this season.
