Jerry Jackson

Jerry Jackson joined the staff of the Baltimore Banner in September of 2024 as a photographer and drone pilot. He got his start in photojournalism as an art student at Mississippi State University. Jerry went on to study journalism at the University of Missouri before taking a job with the Union Democrat in Sonora, California. Before joining The Banner, he spent 28 years as a photo editor and photographer for the Baltimore Sun. When not covering Baltimore news, Jerry is an avid cyclist and birder.
