One person, an unidentified male, is dead after being shot multiple times in Cherry Hill, the Baltimore Police Department said Monday night.
Officers went to the Cherry Hill Homes around 7:40 p.m. after receiving a call for a gunshot, police said in a press release. They found the male victim unresponsive “suffering from numerous life-threatening gunshot wounds,” officials said.
Medics pronounced the victim dead, police said.
The Cherry Hill Homes is a public housing complex run by the Housing Authority of Baltimore City. Police said they found the unidentified victim “in the rear” of the 2700 block of Spelman Road but could not provide more information. That part of the street is also near a playground and basketball court.
Homicide detectives are investigating, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy.
