Baltimore County Police arrested a person following a stabbing Tuesday in a Pikesville home that left an unidentified person dead.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Brightside Avenue around 1:45 p.m. after being notified of a domestic dispute between a family member and homeowner, police said in a statement.
The victim was located inside the home and pronounced dead on the scene, according to the statement. Police did not release additional details about the person arrested.
There have been a handful of fatal stabbings in Baltimore County this year, including one in Towson earlier in December that left a 37-year-old man dead.

Homicides in Baltimore County have decreased since 2023, according to police data. In 2024, the county logged 23 homicide cases through Dec. 28, police data shows, a roughly 20% decrease from 29 homicide cases in the same period last year.
Police said the investigation into the fatal stabbing continues.
