An 8-year-old who was saved from a Dundalk house fire on Sept. 4 has now died, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.

Nolan Mars was found by fire crews in a second-floor bedroom and taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

The fire broke out last Wednesday morning in the 3000 block of Dunleer Road.

An adult and four other children made it out of the home on their own but were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Several animals were pulled from the burning home by firefighters, and some died in the fire.

The blaze has been ruled accidental due to an electrical malfunction.
