Baltimore County firefighters are working to put out hot spots and monitoring for any flare-ups at a recycling facility that caught fire over the weekend, the department announced Tuesday.
Firefighters began battling a three-alarm blaze at the Owl Metals Inc. facility in the 1900 block of Rettman Lane in Dundalk a little after 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Baltimore County firefighters tapped the Baltimore City Fire Department fire boats and the Air National Guard at Martin State Airport Foam Unit for help with putting out the fire, said Baltimore County Fire Department Bureau Chief Travis Francis.
The blaze, which burned well into Sunday afternoon, caused a partial building collapse and led to road closures nearby. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Francis said.

No injuries were reported, but a man was taken to the hospital out of precaution, officials said on Sunday. No update was available on this person on Tuesday.
The recycling facility, Owl Metals, purchases aluminum, batteries, brass, copper, gold, lead, silver and more from customers, according to their website. State records show the business is not in good standing due to not filing an annual report for 2024. The company did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
