‘Honey Bee Baby’ play
“Honey Bee Baby” is a play set in a world where “the bees are gone, the resources are scarce, and everyone must earn their place in a world where the lines between right and wrong are blurred with blood.” Written by Erlina Ortiz and directed by Baltimore’s own Jalice Ortiz-Corral, the play is showing at Strand Theater through Jan. 26.

Dancing with the Stars Live

‘An Act of God’ comedy
“An Act of God” is a comedy defined as a “divine intervention of epic proportions” by writer David Javerbaum. Baltimoreans have a chance to see God like they’ve never seen them before in this Drama Desk award-winning play showing at Iron Crow Theatre through Jan. 26.

The Chesapeake Bay Boat Show
The fourth annual Chesapeake Bay Boat Show kicks off on Friday and lasts throughout the weekend. Over 300 boats are anticipated to be on display, and over 100 exhibitors are expected to attend. This year will feature the Kids Corner, with activities like lure painting and fish printing, and live catfish cooking and oyster shucking demos from Chef Charlie of Jimmy’s Famous Seafood.

Johns Hopkins University’s Ice Rink
Returning for a fourth year is Johns Hopkins University’s Ice Rink, this time with a new location off West University Parkway. The space is open to the public on the weekends and is free. Online registration is required.

Night of 100 Beehives
In partnership with Baltimore Hon Hive and Pick Which Craft, Peabody Heights Brewery is hosting the first-ever Night of 100 Beehives, where attendees are encouraged to don their best beehive or updo hairstyle and pull style references from John Waters’ “Hairspray,” the 1960s and “leopard print everything.” Food from Little Miner Taco and The Local Oyster will be available, as well as drag performances from Absolutely Dragulous, another event partner.

The Poe Death Exhibit & Carroll Mansion tour
Fans of famed mystery writer and poet Edgar Allan Poe can tour his death exhibit. The Poe Death Exhibit features insights into the late poet’s death, a candlelight vigil and artwork. The hourlong experience also includes a tour of the historic Carroll Mansion where the exhibit is housed.

Cost: $10 for adults, with cheaper pricing for seniors and children.
