As we transition into September from August, the weather changing is just one of several “Differences” that will take place between the months. While the amount of outdoor activities is dwindling, you can still enjoy some outdoor events such as the First Thursday Festival.

First Thursday Festival

This week’s WTMD’s First Thursday Festival will be the last of the year. September’s festival will include live performances from Brittany Davis, The Wild Feathers and Dapper Dan Midas. There will also be local food vendors on-site like Ekiben and Jimmy’s Famous Seafood if you get hungry.

Ladies R&B Kickback Concert

First Friday Comedy Night

Bird in Hand bookstore is hosting a new monthly comedy series for the community to enjoy. This Friday’s event will have featured comedians Domo Cann, Jake Leizear and Bria Beddoe performing, as well as an open mic. There will also be snacks and drinks available.

Gospel singer Kirk Franklin is bringing “The Reunion Tour” to CFG Bank Arena this weekend. He will be joined by fellow gospel legends Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp and The Clark Sisters. All of the artists will be performing their classic songs for the audience to enjoy.
