Wine Tastings at Christmas Village

Apparently it’s “Thirsty Thursday” at Christmas Village, which means you can indulge in some wine tasting while enjoying the holiday spirit. Your ticket to this event includes four 2-oz. samples of Boordy Vineyards wines, one raclette sandwich or one bratwurst, one souvenir wine glass and one Christmas Village season pass. You also get $5 off a package of four wine bottles if you decide to take some home.

‘The Nutcracker: A Magical Tale in Mount Vernon’

The Baltimore School for the Arts is promising a “magical adventure” with a “fresh spin” on “The Nutcracker,” according to their website. This will be a Baltimore-specific version of the classic show, with references to Flower Mart, the Walters Art Museum, Fort McHenry and more. Ticket sales will fund the school’s performances, computers, textbooks, scholarships and art materials.

39th Tuba Christmas at the Inner Harbor

For the first time, the 39th rendition of the Tuba Christmas will be on the harbor side of the Maryland Science Center. They are scheduled to play more than a dozen songs, including “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” “Jingle Bells” and, of course, the Baltimore Ravens fight song.

‘A Christmas Carol’

Charm City Ballet is performing their annual full-length production of “A Christmas Carol.” They promise to bring the classic holiday tale with “original scoring, choreography and sets,” according to the website. Be sure to act quick: The last day to buy tickets online is Friday.

Time: 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The show runs about 2 hours with a 15-minute intermission.

Ugly Sweater Party & Cookie Exchange

Bunny’s Buckets and Bubbles, a restaurant in Fells Point that has fried chicken, cocktails and caviar, is having an ugly sweater party. The best sweater gets prizes. There will also be a cookie exchange, so make sure to bring some (and definitely take some).
