Maryland is expecting a burst of winter weather Friday afternoon and evening, ahead of possible accumulating snow on Sunday. The National Weather Service has warned there could be “snow squalls,” making it difficult to drive during evening commute hours in the Baltimore metro area.
Some Maryland school systems have announced they’ll close early on Friday due to the weather.
