The Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed into the Patapsco River early Tuesday after it was struck by a large cargo vessel, shutting down a critical artery for East Coast shipping.
Eight members of a construction crew repairing potholes on the bridge deck were believed to have fallen into the water, two of whom were rescued.
