Cheaper food — and $5 beer — is coming to Oriole Park at Camden Yards this baseball season.

The new Birdland Value Menu will be available at select locations throughout the stadium and feature seven food options for $4 or less: hot dogs, pretzel bites with cheese, cinnamon pretzel bites with cream cheese icing, nacho chips with cheese, popcorn, peanuts and package desserts. They will be available on the main concourse at sections 31, 56 and 89 and on the upper deck at the Birdland markets at sections 334 and 373.

The discounted beer includes 12-ounce Miller High Life, Blue Moon, Leinenkugel’s, Stella Artois, Sierra Nevada and Athletic (non-alcoholic) for $5 and Vizzy hard seltzer for $6. They will be sold at Birdland markets on the main concourse at sections 17, 49 and 80 and on the upper concourse at sections 334 and 373.

Items at regular concession stands — such as a chicken platter for $22.50 or a burger from Fuzzies for $20 — can add up, making this new value menu a more affordable way for fans to eat and drink.

The Orioles’ home opener is March 31 against the Red Sox.

“Our fans are the heart and soul of this organization. By offering more affordable food and beverage options, we are directly reflecting our commitment to them,” Catie Griggs, the team’s president of business operations, said in a statement. “We want Oriole Park at Camden Yards to be a welcoming place where all fans can feel at home and have a great time. We believe these changes will greatly enhance the overall fan experience, allowing everyone to create the experience that best fits their needs.”

Griggs, who was hired in July, said in September that introducing a value menu in Seattle was one of her proudest moments from her time with the Mariners, with whom she held the same position for three years. The Atlanta Falcons, for whom new chief revenue officer Don Rovak previously worked, have a similar offering. They cut some concession prices by over 50% in 2017 and saw total transactions increase by 30%, according to Front Office Sports.

The Orioles implemented a similar value menu in 2018, offering smaller portions at a lower cost, but those options were not available when fans returned to the stadium in 2021 after the COVID-19 pandemic.

These new discounts come after the team redid its ticket pricing tiers, increasing costs for two-thirds of Birdland Members and taking away discounts on alcoholic beverages, causing some fans to reconsider renewing their packages.
