A body was discovered Thursday in Quarry Lake after emergency responders responded to a report of an β€œunresponsive” person, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Officers from the Pikesville Precinct found the body after responding around 12:30 p.m. at the 2900 block of Stone Cliff Drive, police communications director Joy Stewart said.

Stewart said around 2:40 p.m. that the person was found β€œunresponsive” before clarifying that they were deceased, but the body hadn’t been examined yet to her knowledge.

β€œWater recovery efforts are in place. Detectives are not responding at this time,” a statement from county police spokesperson Trae Corbin read. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still being investigated.
