Local and federal agencies are investigating a potential explosion in the 700 block of East Ordnance Road in Glen Burnie after several area businesses called in to report hearing a “boom” noise, authorities said Wednesday.
Anne Arundel County Fire Department firefighter and paramedic Don Clime said first responders received the first call around 2:33 p.m. and were dispatched.
County fire department officials said Wednesday evening that no fire, injuries or damage to the building have been found.
The Anne Arundel County fire and police departments, the Annapolis Fire Department, Homeland Security and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are at the scene investigating, officials said.
An Army installation is located in the 700 block of East Ordnance, near where Route 10 and Interstate 695 intersect.
