Montgomery County officials issued an Extreme Cold Alert Tuesday afternoon.

The alert — which began Tuesday at 4 p.m. and continues until noon Wednesday — is issued when temperatures and/or wind chill drop to 32 degrees Fahrenheit or below.

The alert was posted on social media by the county’s Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.
