Howard County Police arrested three teens and seek one more in the shooting death of 17-year-old Lance Carrington, the department announced Wednesday morning.
Police issued a warrant for a 16-year-old boy who is believed to have fired the fatal gunshot. They also arrested Charles Epperson Jr., Janae Baker and Kendall Stagg for Lance’s death. Lance was found fatally shot in a vehicle in the 6000 Block of Helen Dorsey Way in Columbia on January 14.
Howard County Police said Baker was in a car with Lance when Epperson, Stagg and the 16-year-old approached the vehicle. Police said the 16-year-old boy shot Lance before all four of the teens fled.
His autopsy report was not immediately available, according to the Maryland Office of the Medical Examiner.

According to online court documents, the teens face first- and second-degree murder charges. None of them had attorneys listed at the time of publication.
Online court documents show Stagg, 18, also was charged with first- and second-degree conspiracy to commit assault. Baker, 18, was charged additionally with a conspiracy to murder in the first degree charge, according to online court documents. Epperson, who is 19, also faces first-degree conspiracy to murder and first- and second-degree assault charges, per online court documents.
Funeral arrangements for Lance are scheduled for Feb. 8, according to a GoFundMe started by his family.
Police are offering a $5,000 reward for information on the whereabouts of the 16-year-old and urge those with information to contact them at 410-313-STOP or HCPDCrimeTips@howardcountymd.gov.
