About 50 residents in White Marsh temporarily evacuated their homes after a vehicle crashed into a house and caused a gas leak, the Baltimore County Fire Department said Monday night.
Residents were allowed back in their homes around 9:45 p.m., the fire department said.
No injuries were reported, said EMS Captain Len Stewart, the fire department’s on-call public information officer.
Stewart said the leak was “substantial” but said BGE had shut off gas to the area, stopping the leak while crews work.
A vehicle crashed into a house in the 5000 block of Cameo Terrace, causing a possible deck collapse and a gas leak, the fire department said around 7:30 p.m.
