With construction paper taped to its windows and doors locked, Docks on the Harbor appeared closed Tuesday. The East Pratt Street eatery was in operation for just over a year and a half.

Multiple restaurant employees, business resident agent Thomas Miccio, and Cordish Companies, which owns the building, did not respond to requests about Dock’s status. (Cordish also owns the office space leased by The Baltimore Banner.)

Docks was a relatively new addition to the Inner Harbor. They took over the space at 621 E. Pratt St. left vacant by Dick’s Last Resort, an eatery known for vulgar jokes and insulting patrons, which closed in 2020. Dick’s was later sued by the building owner for unpaid rent.

Docks took a different direction. The restaurant, which opened in May 2023, opted for a “family-friendly” environment, with a revamped interior including art deco wallpaper and chandeliers. Their outside space was decorated with a tiki-style bar and faux greenery, pulling from the menu’s wide array of tropical, fruity drinks and fried bar fare.

On Tuesday, an online search showed the restaurant no longer had a website or social media presence. When searching the eatery’s name in Google, instead of showing Docks On the Harbor in the embedded information, it simply says “Closed.”
