Baltimore-based recording artist and film composer Dan Deacon will be hosting his New Year’s Eve Bash on Dec. 31 at the Ottobar, the venue announced Wednesday.
Deacon, who has called Baltimore home since he moved from New York in 2004, is known for his innovative electronic music and live performances, which often require audience participation. Since beginning his career in music, Deacon has recorded five studio albums and seven extended plays, and scored several movies.
His latest album, “Mystic Familiar,” was released in 2020, and more recently he composed the soundtrack to “Hustle,” a Netflix original film starring Adam Sandler, released in June 2022.
The renowned electronic musician will be joined by special guest Moss of Aura, the side project of Future Islands keyboardist and programmer Gerrit Welmers.
