There is plenty to do in Howard County in the coming week, from celebrating Valentine’s Day early to watching the big game Sunday with endless food. Manor Hill also is releasing a brand new brew Friday.

Ghoul’s Night Out

Ghoul’s Night Out in Ellicott City is the spooky Galentine’s event to attend. Gather your gal pals, sisters, moms and any other female-identifying friends and hear the tales of Ellicott City’s feminine haunts.
This pub crawl begins at The Wine Bin on Main Street. While you must be 21 years old or older to drink, gals 18 years and older are welcome to attend.
Tickets are $20 each. Cost includes flowers and chocolates for all guests.
If Thursday’s tickets sell out before you can snag one, the event runs again next Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Get ready to pucker up this Friday afternoon at Manor Hill Brewing.
The Ellicott City farm brewery is rereleasing an old-time crowd favorite tart brew. Hayes Creek is a tart blonde ale with tangerine. It’s brewed with sweet orange peels and tangerine, bringing in aromas of fresh cut citrus.
Hayes Creek, the brewery says, “is best enjoyed directly out of a can among friends and sunshine!”
‘Art in the Museum’
1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday
Children can explore artifacts Saturday in the Ellicott Mills Children’s Museum, on Park Avenue, near the old courthouse. They also can create a bird’s nest to bring home and Valentines from heart cutouts. Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts who attend will satisfy the requirements for their Art and Design badge.

Vision Board party
11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday
MakingChange, a financial counseling company in Columbia, is hosting a vision board party this Saturday. The activity is to help people shift their mindset, get motivated and be intentional about their hopes, dreams and goals for 2025.
All supplies — including a vision board, markers, glue and scissors — will be provided. There also will be some magazines and materials available with pictures and words to cut out for the boards, but participants are asked to bring their own magazines as well.

Super Bowl watch party
Doors open at 5 p.m. Sunday
Whether you’re rooting for the Eagles or Chiefs — or are still wallowing in misery that the Commanders and Ravens didn’t make it into the Super Bowl — you can watch the big game at The Collective Encore in Columbia.
