Sophomore quarterback Malik Washington threw for 308 yards and accounted for six touchdowns and Rolando Newton had 11 catches for 116 yards as Spalding rolled to another MIAA A Conference victory.

Max Moss caught two scoring passes, including one with three seconds remaining in the first half as Spalding (6-1, 3-0 MIAA A) led 40-7 at halftime. In the first half, Washington went 17-of-26 for 249 yards and five touchdown passes.
Washington opened the second half with a seven-yard touchdown run to start a running clock at 47-7 midway through the third. Senior running back Gavin Scruggs added a two-yard touchdown run.
Keyshawn Flowers and Braden Morocco each had two sacks, leading a Cavalier defense that recorded six first half quarterback sacks. Flowers also had a fumble recovery, and Thomas Dehney blocked a punt.
Matt Parker’s 23-yard touchdown pass to Amir Arnold late in the second quarter, accounted for Gilman’s only score. The score was set up by an interception from junior Dejuan Lane.
The Greyhounds, who’ve lost four of five after a 2-0 start, host No. 4 Calvert Hall Friday in a MIAA A contest.

Antonio Lyde scored three touchdowns, including a kickoff return, and senior running back Tristen Kenan added two rushing scores as Dunbar (6-0) remained undefeated.
Dashawn Parks and Savion Witherspoon each contributed a rushing touchdown for the Poets, who extended the area’s longest winning streak to 19. Shantron Monroe had an interception return for a touchdown.
Thursday, Dunbar (4-0 Division I) will host Poly in a battle of undefeated squads and for first-place in the Baltimore City League’s Division I. The Engineers (6-0, 3-0 Division I) upset No. 7 Mervo, 14-6, Friday evening.

Senior quarterback Jordan Brooks threw three touchdown passes and Jaeden Alston added a pair of rushing scores as Concordia Prep (6-1) overcame a John Carroll upset bid in Bel Air to set up a first-place showdown in the MIAA B Conference next weekend.
The Patriots established a 14-0 first quarter lead, behind David Fronek’s 42-yard touchdown throw to junior Tristan Richardson and senior Trevor Amrein’s one-yard touchdown run.

Concordia finally got going as senior Josh Derry returned the ensuing kickoff 59 yards. Alston scored from three yards, bringing the Saints to 14-6. They gained the lead on Brooks’ 45-yard toss to Derry.
Late in the second, Brooks connected with Harcum from 16 yards. Concordia’s defense turned away John Carroll inside the red zone, and the Saints went 88 yards as Keyon Rice got a screen pass from Brooks and scampered 64 yards for another touchdown.
Alston found the end zone for the second time, this time from two yards with 2:34 left in regulation to complete a 55-yard scoring drive. Concordia has won six straight since a season-opening loss at Gilman.
Concordia (3-0 MIAA B) heads to Annapolis Friday night for a matchup with No. 9 and unbeaten St. Mary’s (6-0, 3-0 MIAA B) at Pascal Field for sole possession of first in the MIAA B.

Cam Catterton threw three touchdown passes and sophomore running back Ian Mauldin added a score as Broadneck (5-1) rolled to its fifth consecutive victory.
Catterton, a senior, completed 10-of-14 attempts for 183 yards. Sophomore reserve quarterback Calvin Watkins added a touchdown throw for the Bruins (4-0 Anne Arundel).
Sophomore receiver Joey Smargassi had two touchdown receptions. Anthony Hawkins had an interception and Albie Palsa recovered a fumble for Broadneck’s defense.

In a defensive struggle, Kamden Laudenslager’s sack was the defining play as McDonogh (3-3) remained undefeated in MIAA A Conference play.
Pallotti (2-4, 1-2 MIAA A) drove from its 15-yard line to McDonogh’s 21 with 24 seconds left in regulation. After a pass interference penalty on the Eagles moved the ball to the 11 with 14 seconds to play, Pallotti quarterback Ahmir Lowery missed Daniel Wingate on back-to-back throws.
With six seconds left, Lowery tried to move out of the pocket, but Laudenslager, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound sophomore, dropped the Panther quarterback to end the game.
The Panthers opened the scoring in the second quarter on Manny Manoute’s one-yard plunge with 7:53 left. The drive was setup by Alex Moore’s 22-yard interception off a tipped pass thrown by McDonogh freshman quarterback Braeden Palazzo.
Palazzo engineered a 65-yard opening second half drive, capped with a 32-yard touchdown pass to sophomore wide receiver Jackson Exinor with 9:45 left in the third quarter. Sam Arbaugh’s extra-point put the Eagles up, 7-6.
After three straight non-league losses, McDonogh has opened league play with victories over Loyola and Pallotti. Saturday, the Eagles visit No. 3 Mount St. Joseph (2-0 MIAA A).
NO. 13 SOUTH CARROLL 19, WINTERS MILL 13
Carter Mazalewski accounted for two touchdowns, including an 18-yard run with 37 seconds left in regulation, lifting undefeated South Carroll past upset-minded Winters Mill in Carroll County Athletic League action in Sykesville.
Mazalewski, a senior quarterback, threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Jackson Strzelczyk in the second quarter, pulling the Cavaliers (6-0) even at 7. South Carroll took the lead, 13-7, in the third quarter on A.J. Rodrigues’ six-yard touchdown run.
The Falcons (2-4, 0-3 CCAL) scored with 1:51 left in regulation for a tie game, then the extra-point was blocked. The Cavaliers went down the field and scored to remain undefeated overall and in Carroll County play (3-0).
NO. 14 WESTMINSTER 44, FRANCIS SCOTT KEY 6
Junior quarterback Kyrece Walker threw for two scores and added a rushing touchdown, leading Westminster (6-1) to an easy Carroll County Athletic League home victory.
Warfield scored two touchdowns, including a game-opening 81-yard kickoff return score. Walker broke a 53-yard touchdown run and tossed a scoring pass to Clayton Dorsey (seven yards) and Mason Fisher (16).
Warfield and Mikey Simons each had one-yard scores as the Owls (2-1 CCAL) led 41-0 at halftime.
NO. 15 DUNDALK 53, CATONSVILLE 14
Senior running back Jordan Fiorenza rushed for 209 yards and three touchdowns, and Ja Bonner threw for a score, leading Dundalk (5-1) to an easy home triumph in Baltimore County Division I action.
Desmond Oxendine added 82 yards on just three carries and a touchdown for the Owls. Bonner, a junior, completed six-of-nine for 118 yards including a scoring throw to Dale Martin (three catches, 63 yards).
The Owls (4-0 Division I) visit Franklin (4-0 Division I) Friday evening in a battle for first.

Nikolas Reid scored two touchdowns and Shannon Cliftonn threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Brendan Cotter as Forest Park (4-2) claimed sole possession of first in the Baltimore City League’s Division II.
Reid opened the scoring with a five-yard touchdown run with five minutes, 26 seconds left in the second quarter, followed by Cliftonn’s two-point conversion run. Cliftonn scored from three yards, advancing the Foresters’ lead to 14-0 with 49 seconds left in the third quarter.
After an interception by Namar Dorsey, Reid powered into the end zone from three yards for his second score. Cliftonn connected with Levi Kelly for the two-point conversion, pushing the lead to 22-0 with 5:55 left in regulation.
Following a fumble recovery by Kyran Duppins on the ensuing kickoff, Cliftonn and Cotter connected.
The win gives Forest Park the inside track to the Division II city title (4-0) with league games left with Benjamin Franklin and Carver Vo-Tech remaining. Douglass fell to 3-1, 2-1 in Division II.
“They (Forest Park) stopped a lot of stuff we wanted to do early, but we stayed with it and executed,” said Forest Park coach Sean Markley. “Our defense has been resilient all season long. They’ve been lights out even in the games we lost.”
