Sleep with one eye open — Sandman is coming.
The Arkansas Derby champion will enter the 150th Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course on May 17.
Griffin Johnson, a 26-year-old TikTok influencer from Paris, Illinois, is a minority owner of Sandman.
He joined the ownership group via the “A Stake in Stardom” initiative, which brings influencers into horse racing, and has been documenting Sandman’s journey for his 9.7 million followers.

The 150th Preakness Stakes is the second leg of the Triple Crown.
This historic race covers 1 3/16 miles and is open to 3-year-old thoroughbreds.
With Kentucky Derby winner Sovereignty opting out, the field is wide open, offering contenders like Sandman a prime opportunity. Sandman finished seventh in the Kentucky Derby.
The race is scheduled for approximately 6:50 p.m. and will be broadcast live on NBC and Peacock.
