The Buffalo Bills fan who shoved Ravens wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and quarterback Lamar Jackson after a touchdown Sunday night has been “indefinitely banned from Bills and NFL stadiums,” an NFL spokesman confirmed Monday.

The fan, who has not been identified, was ejected from the Bills’ 41-40 win after he contacted Hopkins and then Jackson following their 29-yard touchdown pass late in the third quarter. Jackson, who was celebrating with several teammates around the edge of Highmark Stadium, turned around and shoved the fan back.
After the game, Jackson expressed regret over the interaction.
“I seen him slap ‘D-Hop’ ... he slapped me,” Jackson said. “He was talking, so I just forgot where I was for a little bit. You have to think in those situations. You have security out there; let security handle it. But I just let my emotions get the best of me. Hopefully, it doesn’t happen again. I learned from that.”
Coach John Harbaugh said Monday that Jackson was celebrating “just like you’re supposed to do.” He also expressed unhappiness with a bottle being thrown at Derrick Henry on his 46-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, though the projectile did not appear to strike the running back.
“You score a touchdown, you probably shouldn’t have a frozen water bottle thrown at you, either,” Harbaugh said. “These are the types of things that I’m sure that the NFL is going to address and deal with. It’s unfortunate that you should even be in that situation. I mean, I don’t know how any of us would respond in that moment. I think it’d be something we’d probably be thinking about protecting ourselves. I do think that. I just think we have to understand that. We can all say, ‘Hey, I’d like to handle it a little better.’ But that’s a surprise when that happens, I think, in that moment, probably, for anybody.”
