KANSAS CITY, Mo. β Ravens coach John Harbaugh had little information to share with reporters after his team lost five key starters to injury Sunday in a 37-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Harbaugh said he thought none of the injuries β to quarterback Lamar Jackson (hamstring), left tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle), inside linebacker Roquan Smith (hamstring), and cornerbacks Marlon Humprhey (calf) and Nate Wiggins (elbow) β were season-ending, but couldnβt say more about their seriousness.
When asked whether Jackson, who left near the end of the third quarter of a lopsided game, could have played, Harbaugh did not have an answer. He also did not say how Jackson got injured.
Jackson is a two-time NFL Most Valuable Player, while Stanley, Smith and Humphrey are all coming off Pro Bowl seasons. Wiggins, a first-round pick in 2024, has emerged as a reliable coverage corner in his second season.
The Ravens trailed 30-13 when Jackson was replaced by Cooper Rush. Jackson had been sacked three times and was struggling to get the offense moving. He was 14-for-20 for 147 passing yards with one touchdown and one interception. He had 48 rushing yards on six rushes and also lost a fumble.

Stanley was activated for Sundayβs game despite an ankle injury that limited him to one practice last week. He played two series before Joe Noteboom replaced him in the second quarter. While he was never officially ruled out, he did not return.
Humphrey dealt with a groin injury early this season but was a full participant in practice last week. He left midway through the second quarter with a calf injury.
Smith, one of the Ravensβ most durable players, left late in the second quarter with a hamstring injury after tackling tight end Travis Kelce.
Humphrey and Smith were ruled out after halftime. Wiggins was carted off the field. None of the injured players were made available to reporters after the game.
The Ravensβ defense was already down starting defensive linemen Nnamdi Madubuike (neck) and Travis Jones (knee) and outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy (hamstring). Defensive lineman Broderick Washington is also on injured reserve along with Madubuike.
