Ravens wide receiver Diontae Johnson will not practice this week as he serves a one-game suspension, coach John Harbaugh said Monday, but teammates insisted that his ban would not be a distraction as the team makes its final push toward the playoffs.

Johnson will miss the Ravens’ game Sunday against the New York Giants after “refusing to enter our game against the Philadelphia Eagles” in Week 13, according to a statement attributed to Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta. Harbaugh declined to comment Monday on Johnson’s suspension, which was announced Wednesday, and deferred to DeCosta’s statement.

“We’ll just kind of leave it at that and we’ll see where it goes as time permits,” Harbaugh said.

Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers said Johnson’s situation “ain’t a distraction at all” and added that Johnson is “still one of my guys. He’s one of our guys, so I don’t really got much to say about it.” He also said Johnson would be “welcomed back” to the team after his suspension ends.

Johnson, a midseason trade acquisition, has just one catch for 6 yards in his four appearances with the Ravens. But wide receiver Rashod Bateman said Johnson would “figure it out. He’ll be back with us.”

“Obviously, we all know what happened,” Bateman added. “We all understand both sides. There’s consequences that come with this game and whatnot, but I know he’ll be back soon. And that’s all we’re worried about.”

With the Ravens’ AFC North title hopes still alive, Bateman said the team’s focus would not be shaken. “Y’all know we’ve got a task at hand individually, so he [Johnson] knows that, too. We’re all aware of the situation, so hopefully we’ll see him back next week.”

Said Flowers: “There’s eight weeks left in the season: four regular season, four to the Super Bowl. So we’re going to take it one at a time.”

Asked about the Ravens’ “buy-in” during a season with a high-profile benching (safety Marcus Williams), a midseason release (safety Eddie Jackson) and now a team-issued suspension, Harbaugh said the team is “doing great.”

“We’ve got guys that are out there playing hard,” he said. “Guys have been professional. They work hard. Guys want to play, and it’s based on opportunity, it’s based on performance, it’s based on need — all those things. Our locker room has been fantastic. Guys have been working hard. ... I’m really happy. You see how hard they play every single week. We’re in a great place, and I love our guys.”
