The Ravens are trading for Tennessee Titans outside linebacker Dre’Mont Jones, sending a conditional fifth-round draft pick for the versatile edge rusher, the team confirmed Tuesday.

Jones, 28, has 4.5 sacks this season, all in the past four games, and 19 pressures, according to Pro Football Focus, four more than defensive lineman Travis Jones, who leads the Ravens (3-5). Baltimore’s defense has just 11 sacks in eight games this year, tied for the second fewest in the NFL.

“I’m ready to be Raven rocking that purple and black!” Dre’Mont Jones tweeted Monday night.

Jones ranks 48th among 93 qualifying edge rushers in win rate on “true pass sets,” which PFF defines as drop-backs excluding plays with three or fewer pass rushers, play-action, screens, short drops and throws released in less than two seconds. No Ravens edge rushers are inside the top 60.

The 6-foot-3, 281-pound Jones also can line up inside, though he’s played primarily on the edge for Tennessee (1-8). He’s on a one-year deal with a $2 million base salary, meaning he won’t take up much space on the Ravens’ salary cap. The surrendered fifth-round pick could reportedly become a fourth-rounder.

The Ravens have needed pass rush help since losing defensive lineman Nnamdi Madubuike to a season-ending neck injury suffered against the Cleveland Browns in Week 2. In the six games since, on drop-backs with four or fewer pass rushers, their defense ranks 24th in the NFL in sack rate (4%) and 32nd in pressure rate (17.2%), according to Sports Info Solutions.

Jones will join a Ravens defense that has dressed just three outside linebackers — rookie Mike Green (1.5 sacks), Kyle Van Noy (one sack) and David Ojabo (0.5 sacks) — for the past two games. Practice squad outside linebacker Carl Lawson will likely be called up for Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, coach John Harbaugh said Monday. Fellow outside linebackers Tavius Robinson (two sacks) and Adisa Isaac (no sacks) are on injured reserve and could return within the next month.

The deal for Jones is the second trade the Ravens have agreed to in three days and their third overall this season. They dealt little-used cornerback Jaire Alexander and a 2027 seventh-round draft pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2026 sixth-round pick on Saturday. They also traded outside linebacker Odafe Oweh to the Los Angeles Chargers for safety Alohi Gilman last month and swapped late-round picks.

The Ravens still have time to make other moves as they look to upgrade their roster for a playoff run during the season’s second half. The trade deadline closes at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
