Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been cleared to play Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, ending uncertainty over whether an ankle injury would sideline him for the AFC North showdown.

Jackson returned to practice Friday after missing Thursday’s workout and was a full participant. He was not listed on the injury report with a game designation.

The two-time NFL Most Valuable Player said after practice Friday that someone stepped on his foot during Wednesday’s session, in which he was a limited participant, so he sat out the next day. But Jackson said he’s feeling “pretty good.” (With a laugh, Jackson declined to name who stepped on him.)

Cornerback Nate Wiggins, who left the team’s Thanksgiving night loss to the Cincinnati Bengals with a foot injury, will also be available Sunday. He was a full participant Friday after being limited earlier in the week.

Jackson dealt with an ankle injury after the Ravens’ Week 11 win over the Cleveland Browns — one of several leg injuries he has endured this season. He missed three games from Week 4 to Week 7 (with a bye week included) because of a hamstring injury.

After not missing a practice ahead of back-to-back wins against the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings, Jackson has missed at least one every week for the past four games.

He had knee soreness after the game against the Vikings, an ankle injury after the win over the Browns, a toe injury from the win over the New York Jets and now more ankle issues.

Jackson said injuries have not made his practice absences necessary.

“Just a rest day. [I just] look at it as a little extra rest day, if anything, and that’s it,” he said.

Since Week 10, Jackson has struggled with accuracy, completing less than 60% of his passes in four straight games. Jackson also looked less mobile in that span but seemed to improve against the Bengals.

Meanwhile, the Ravens’ defense faltered in the second half last week without Wiggins on the field. Ahead of Wednesday’s practice, Wiggins said in a TikTok video that his pain, on a scale of 1 to 10, was a 7. However, he was back on the field Wednesday and has practiced every day since.

The Ravens ruled out only two players for Week 14: outside linebacker Tavius Robinson (foot) and safety Ar’Darius Washington (Achilles tendon), both of whom returned to practice this week.

The Steelers ruled out starting defensive lineman Derrick Harmon, a first-round pick, and starting safety Kyle Dugger. Reserve offensive tackle Calvin Anderson was also ruled out. Former Ravens inside linebacker Patrick Queen will play despite exiting Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills early with a glute injury.

Sunday’s game has major playoff implications. The Ravens and Steelers are both 6-6 and battling for control of the AFC North, a division unlikely to have any teams earn a wild-card spot. The Ravens have the tiebreaker with more wins over common opponents, but their head-to-head games could be decisive.
